Mission

Our mission is to provide aid to Mansfield Metal Center employees.  We will supply them with the necessary information, resources and services to help them make a positive transition to other employment or retirement.

  About Us

The Transition Self Help Center was established by our Local Joint Leadership with the help of the Grand Rapids GM/UAW Local 730 Transition Center team and Richland County Job and Family Services.

It is located in the old employment office next to the plant hospital. If you are currently laid off, please enter the center on the North side of the building at the employment entrance.
The center is open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00 AM to 4:00PM.  Wednesday by appointment only and closed Fridays.

Guest staffing at the center provided by Ashland County West Holmes Career Center, Knox County Career Center, Madison Adult Career Center, Mansfield Able, Pioneer Career & Technology Center, The Ohio State University, Tri-Rivers Center for Adult Education, North Central State College, and Richland County Job & Family Services. Please refer to the
schedule for time and availability.

The Transition Self Help Center is jointly managed by Brian Orr and Cathy Hetlser.
